Trust Me When I Tell You…You Want A Piece Of This! A Movie You Want to See and Support!

When this came across my desk I was already excited, Shemar Moore in a movie….(nice). I remembered him from Young and the Restless, and Criminal Minds, just to name a few of his projects.

This movie, “The Bounce Back” is a heartfelt romantic comedy about finding the courage to love after love has let you down. As a hopeless romantic, a movie about falling in love and having the courage to try love all over again is what great love stories are made of, and I am sure this one will fit the bill.

 

The opening trailer, brings us into the life of Matthew Taylor, a psychologist who has wrote a book to help women really get what they want in relationships. He tells them what they are doing wrong, so that they know what they need to do to change things around, so that men are begging them to be in a relationship. Of course, Matthew comes to the table with his own set of issues. He establishes a set of rules in order to survive the pain of losing his first love, but it is these same rules that are stopping him from falling in love again. So, a year after losing his wife, the love of his life, he throws himself into a year long book tour giving advice to others while covering up his own pain, and running away from love until he meets her, and has to face his own fears…… I don’t know about you, but can’t wait to see this movie…

So ok, after hearing about this story, I am definitely interested in seeing this movie where Shemar Moore, is the main character. A story where he is trying to get himself over his own heartbreak and pain, and finally find love again, but when I heard about the amazing opportunity the filmmakers were offering and why they were doing it, I was even more excited.

The filmmakers are using Indiegogo to raise the money to produce and distribute the movie without big backers. This will give them the ability to make the film, and most importantly it gives them creative control. This way they get to decide what is best for the movie instead of someone else coming in and making the call driven by the bottom line.
