Those words are enough to put a smile on my face and usher me back to my teen years. I can almost hear my forever crush Michael Bivins, from one of my favorite groups, New Edition serenading me. Yes, me and me only… (you ladies can have Ralph, Ronnie, Bobbie, Ricky, and Johnny)
After all these years, I have to say my love for New Edition is still alive and well along with the words to all of their songs, which I still know by heart. (Total true fan here)
New Edition, my favorite all guy group still holds a special place in my heart and they are fresh in my mind because New Edition’s story is finally coming to the small screen. I’ve been counting down the days since I saw the first trailer and now that that January 24th is almost here I have been finding ways to occupy myself until I finally get my first peak.
I’ve taken out all the stops searching my DVR and the Verizon Fios library for whatever I can find. Thankfully Verizon Fios, has not let me down (they must realize how important this whole New Edition fan thing is to me) I’ve found a treasure of goodies to hold me over until the big day. They have 5 behind the scene snippets from the show, which I have already watched and when I searched the other day I found a new group of hidden treasures. They have also added a ton of New Edition’s old videos for all of the New Edition fans who just can’t get enough (like me).
I’ve already added the New Edition Story to my DVR to make sure I don’t miss a moment.
I’m even going to try to live tweet, because us New Edition fans have got to stick together. If you are watching the New Edition Story on Tuesday, please feel free to join in. Until then, I will be #binge watching New Edition videos and driving my family crazy. I’ve already bookmarked all the videos to make them easy to find, good for me, and bad for them. 8) I’m really excited that BET is bringing this story to the little screen and I am really excited to learn about the behind the scenes story of one of my favorite groups.
