Life is full of amazing things so I’ve decided to create a place to share some of my favorite things weekly.
Whether it’s books, food, restaurants, articles, quotes, products, you name it I am going to share them in these weekly posts. It will give me a chance to share some of the things I really enjoyed this week. Feel free to join in and share some of your favorites.
Something That Makes Me Smile….
A few years ago I went to Blogilicious, on one of the tables was this beautifully crafted butterfly. This butterfly immediately took me to my childhood because all over my father’s house were items just like this one. The butterfly was hand made by a Haitian artist.
When I was young my father took my to Haiti, it is an experience I have never forgotten even though I was about 8 years old when I went. When I saw that butterfly, I immediately fell in love and they gifted it to me before I left. I never forgot this kindness or this beautiful gift.
In light of the terrible challenges that Haiti faces today it reminds me of the strength of people. We all face challenges, but with the help of God and each other we can all persevere. Tragedies come, but the simple things in life that mean the most remain.
I am wishing all those who live in Haiti and those who are part of the recovery process prayers, love and light as they rebuild.
My NEW Favorite Drink – Golden Milk
This week I decided to try a new drink. I’ve been hearing about it for at least the last two years and well I finally decided to give it a try. It’s called Golden Milk, it is served warm. It includes turmeric which is really good for you. It you want to know more about it check out this post.
My Favorite Cheese Eggs And Well Anything Good.
I love my cheese eggs, my Uncle James used to make them for me and once I had them I instantly fell in love. They are light and fluffy and incredibly delicious. Once you’ve had them, you won’t be able to go back.
They are cheesy perfection, the great thing about them is you can actually eat them with anything. This week I tried them with two really different pairings. The first was the yogurt parfait from Chick-fil-a. I love this yogurt especially when I am on the go. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should add it to your list. #Yummy
I wanted to try something new so I took the eggs I love and instead of doing bacon or another breakfast item, I tried them with Lemon Boy tomatoes. I LOVED them, and they would make a great option for anyone who is thinking about having breakfast for dinner.
Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin
Ok, these are my diet killers so if you don’t want to be tempted skip to the next one. These muffins are soooo good I look forward to eating them every year. They are incredibly good and are worth every single one of those 420 calories. If you want to try them do it now, they are only around for a limited time and when they are gone, they are gone.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day
This past weekend was the Breast Cancer 3-Day in Philadelphia. This is a 3 day event where each participant raises $2,300 and walks 60 miles. I did this a few years ago and I have never forgotten the experience. I really wanted to do it this year, but I wasn’t able to. Perhaps 2017, I will try it again. It’s a great experience and when I got done I felt like I really accomplished something great. Some of the women I met there, I still talk to. It really was an amazing experience I will never forget.
A Great Devotion- Savor by Shauna Niequist
I love devotionals and Savor by Shauna Niequist is one is one of my favorite. I found it last year and what caught my eye was the beautiful fabric cover. The beige and cream cover is hard to see in pictures but is just amazing, it’s available in a Kindle version, but I would buy the hardback (it’s totally worth it).
Inside are words that speak to every season in life. I love Shauna Niequist’s writing, she is real and transparent style is refreshing and thought provoking. I heard her first at the Belong Tour and I really enjoyed the wisdom she shared.
One Of My Favorite Quotes
I saw this somewhere and had to share it. It speaks to such a powerful truth.
God is always here for us, all you have to do is call Him and watch Him work it out.
Until next time….

Hi Aida!
Thanks for linking up with us on the Friday Finds and Favorites Blog hop!
Thanks for sharing that turmeric recipe. I’ll definitely have to try that! And I totally wanted to grab one of those muffins for myself. 😉 Treats are great…It’s just all about moderation. 🙂

Thanks Anna It was so great to find your group. I can’t wait until next time. Yes, the muffins are some of my favorite, but I just try not to go crazy for the little bit of time that they are available.8)
I am excited about reading some of the other posts in the group. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
