Should I Go Green?

Should I GO Green ???

As parents we want what is best for our kids, family and pets and with small changes to our daily living – removing the toxins and chemicals we currently clean our homes with – we can give our families the healthy life they deserve. As you start your journey, do not get overwhelmed. You are doing the right thing. You are being proactive. Take little steps. Based on many years of scientific research, we can actually prevent up to 90% of illnesses by making simple, toxin free lifestyle changes. You can start small.

FACT: Women that work from inside their homes have a 54% higher chance of getting cancer than women who work outside the home. We clean our homes to protect our families and give them a safe place to live. Do you work out of your home? Do you home school?

The problem is that the products that we are using from the grocery store are in fact doing more harm than good. Have you ever looked at the ingredients of your cleaning products?  Most cleaning products are using chemical agents that are carcinogens, environmental toxins (aka cancer-causing agents.) Look up the definition of 1 or 2 ingredients. See for yourself! Household exposure to the fumes in your cleaning products is causing breathing problems and many other illnesses including cancer, asthma and allergies. Do you wear gloves when you clean? Your skin is exposed to these chemicals as well, doubling your risk of chemical exposure.

We have all been “programmed” by advertisers to use products that we see and hear about. Did you know that 63% of the cost of a product goes toward advertising? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could buy from a store that puts that 63% back into its products and uses safer, less toxic ingredients that are of a higher quality and not diluted with water like the products we buy in our local grocery store?

Do you think you can’t live without all those products under your sink? Well, think again. There is a way to keep your house clean and your family safe at the same time. First thing you need to do is look under every sink in your home and remove those chemicals from under your sinks! Say NO to bleach and ammonia! There are safer products on the market. Be proactive.

Please visit my blog to learn more about using safer products in your home or visit me on Facebook or Tweet Me!

Be proactive. Take little steps for you and your family’s health!
