I can almost hear that old song playing in the background….
Me and Mrs. Jones, we got a thing going on
We both know that it’s wrong
But it’s much too strong to let it go nowI know I SHOULD put that sugar down, but HOW can I, it’s everywhere and the truth is I really do like it…
My love affair with sugar was started so long ago, I can barely remember what first brought me in… Was it chocolate, licorice, of those dollar bubble gum that would give me just enough sugar to get me to my next helping. I loved it from my first taste, but when I gave it up for a small period of time I realized the truth.

When I got rid of sugar, I noticed that many of those nagging symptoms disappeared. Excess mucus, sore throats, being drained, moodiness, all of those things either totally disappeared or were drastically reduced. The hunger pains that never went away were gone in an instant, and weight fell off my body, even though I didn’t exercise anymore than I had before.
How is this possible? Hmmm.
When I heard about this movie, That Sugar Film, I was excited about hearing more about how sugar really changes our body and the way we feel. The trailer, made me think of all of those things I never quite put together, those “coincidences” that pointed to he fact that sugar could actually be harming my body in ways I never suspected. Sure people have said it before, but could it really be true.
Let’s Face It
Over the past few years, this information has been more and more prevalent. Are there studies, perhaps, but I can’t argue with my own experiences and I don’t intent to. Sugar is showing up in WAY TOO many places. The amount of sugar in our foods and beverages are stagger, obesity is up, health issues like diabetes and insulin resistance are incredibly high and that is only the beginning.
I encourage every person to see this documentary. Not only is it interesting it really makes you think
about how you are eating it makes you think about what you are eating. It was a real gut check for me and my family.
This is a movie you should watch with your whole family. Have a discussion afterwards and put your heads together to look for creative ways to cut the sugar. That Sugar Film Once you watch it, comeback and share your thoughts.
