The Road To Success

10:19 am by Aida J Ingram Leave a Comment

You may not have all the answers.  You may not have everything you need to get started.  Successful people often don’t.  You maybe tired, dismayed, and disappointed.  You may have to will your way, and use your faith for every step and every turn.  Successful people often do.

In the end, you will realize you only achieved because you refused to give up, and you just kept going.  Real success is the journey, not the destination.  There is no real story in the overnight riches and stardom.  What is often not reported or often misreported is all the preparation that goes before the great unveiling.  The hours of works, all the calls, the deals that fell through, the times when you know this was it, and it wasn’t, and all the meetings you went to that netted the big zero.  No one starts at the head of the line, you have to work to get there, I don’t care what people tell you.  You have to do the work.  You can buy books, and you can go to courses, and get trained and you should, but what seals the deal is the work.  You have to keep doing redundant tasks that don’t feel like they are doing anything at all, because those are the tasks that are helping to move you forward.  So, just keep moving, keep pushing and keep going.

Today, find something to smile about, something to celebrate, something to enjoy, something to love.  Remember why your building what your building.  When you become successful, no one will know all the work that went into it, but you.  That is when you will know that everything was worth it, and that every step, piece of work or brick built another layer.

Don’t forget to live, don’t work so much that you miss life.  Make time for interruptions.  For dinners with friends, and time with family, stop and smell the roses and take in everyday and celebrate it, that day will only happen once.

Today pray for the strength to keep moving in the right direction, be strong, be courageous, be willing, and be ready.  Refuse to give up, and remember that success is within your grasp.  Don’t compare yourself or your work to others and do your best.  Love yourself enough to keep working, and make sure that you remind yourself that even if it seems like you are not going anywhere fast, you are preparing the way for a fast and speedy entrance onto the road to success with all the trimmings.

Keep going, keep moving, keep growing.
