UnStoppable! What I thought about it..

How do you deal with questions around your faith? When something terrible happens, how do you reconcile the God you love and the evil in the world?
Well these questions and more like them are questions that Kirk Cameron tries to answer in this movie Unstoppable.

The movie opens with the death of a child, and talk about the work that Cameron and his wife do with children who are dealing with diseases. As he has to deal with the death of yet another child he asks the questions that you may of asked at one time or another. Where is God in all of this?

The movie goes into a very interesting direction as Cameron looks at the Bible and the meaning in it. He talks about life from the beginning and he builds his case that the God who we see at work then, is still at work today.

His creative depiction is definitely interesting and at times especially captivating. A creative representation and way of answering Biblically what is happened and what is happening in life today. Although I originally thought it would be presented differently, when it was more of a documentary type presentation with reflections that go back and forth to the Biblical accounts.

This would be a great movie for a mature teen, or for someone whose had to deal with losing someone they love and is looking for answers. I also thought Cameron’s sharing was thoughtful and thought provoking. It makes you think about how your life is effected when life bumps into your faith.

If you are looking for a resource for children on faith and how you can put your faith in action check out this book .
