I go to A LOT of Events….some are great for kids, some are great for adults, some are great for women, some are great for entertainment buffs, but none of them surprised me like this one did.

It was 2 years ago, yes I did say two years.  I have to tell you that I have never been more impressed with an event than I was with this one.

Five days of non-stop entertainment, fun, information, non-stop surprises, vendors and that’s not even including the spiritual food I got from this amazing event.  What event am I talking about MEGAFEST!

Let me start with this, my daughter and I went without knowing what to expect, I heard Women Thou Art Loosed was amazing, and I knew that TD JAKES Ministries events are always top notch, but I was amazed at what I saw in Dallas, TX that weekend.

Let Me Explain

Mega-Fest is 5 days of inspiration, empowerment, and entertainment for the WHOLE family.

There is something there for everyone, golf outings, comedy shows, concerts, worship services from your mini’s to your grandparents.

• Launching a business
• Concerned about education
• Want to learn more about ways to improve your health
• Want to be encouraged
• Movies and conversations with movie executives and promoters
• And this is just the beginning….

The last time we went, we met Rev. Marvin Sapp, pastor and singer

Pastor Cheryl Brady and many other powerful women of the gospel preached my socks off and send me home with some spiritual food and many things to ponder and heal. And although that word was tailor made just for me and the other women in the house. The men had their own team of encouragers, speaking and preaching the word they needed to hear.

 

Neicy Nash, Megan Goode, Jennifer Hudson and many others talked film and the entertainment industry.  Answering questions, shedding light and telling it like it really is… candid conversations I wished every young actress and actor could of heard.

 

The expo with people from Essence, Fashion Fair, Prudential and other prominent companies shared valuable information about everything from finances to food.

Insightful conversation from the awesome @StevePerry on what to do for our children… was another awesome and thought provoking conversation I will never forget.

If you are free, I encourage you to make it your business to get there.  It was an event that in my opinion that could of easily been priced in the thousands just for admission.  The quality of the content and the people I met while I was there was truly hard to capture in words.  My family and I are looking forward to attending this year and we will be covering the event all week so stay tuned.  If you can get there, please make every attempt to it will be WELL WORTH your time and effort.
