On Saturday, I had a chance to check out the #MomMixer, a totally awesome event where we had a chance to meet some awesome brands to find out great things to share with you.
There are times when you have no idea how many great things you have never heard about. I mean we are all busy and trying to carve out time to do the things that are important to us.
Do you remember those cute plastic necklaces we used to buy charms for when we were growing up. Well, of course, everything is new and improved, so we learned about a cool company called “Charm It”. They have cute charm necklaces for girls.
I saw so many cute charms and for $5 those charms are a great deal. They have necklaces and bracelets that you can build, personalize, and show off. Right now they even have a design contest were your little artist can submit her drawing for a chance to have it made into a charm that they sell.
My favorite… was an empowering message for girls that said Girls Can Change The World… I was in love as soon as I saw it!
This is a previous contest winner pictured above.
For your favorite super hero there was an adorable line of products from Under Armour by way of Kids Headquarters.
Who doesn’t totally love a superhero…now you can finally get your child out of those Superman and Spiderman pajamas that they love…
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University shared some new exhibits and tons of fun that they have all year long…
It is easy to miss things that are happening right in your own backyard. So, hearing the wonderful opportunities they had available for learning and for fun reminded me of the many things that we could do right in the area.
With summer coming this makes a great idea for a day trip.
At the #MomMixer, we were introduced to some very sporty looks for little boys from Kids Headquarters. These outfits for boys made me wish I had one to spoil. The bow tie, sweater, and cardigan look is perfect for a trip to church, a dinner, a party or just lounging around.
Ok, This onesie was absolutely adorable. I wanted to find a little boy to put this this on….. I will have to keep on looking for sure, because this was too cute to leave on the shelf.
The Ladies from The Susan G. Komen 3-Day were also there
As Summer rolls around one thing is clear, amusement parks are on most families list. When I talked to the representative from Hershey Park I was reminded about how many entertainment opens there are for families, and singles at Hershey Park.
Oh course, there is chocolate, and Chocolate World, rides and a water park, but they have a great Spa at Hershey Park as well.
The concerts and conferences take a one day trip and turn it into an experience. Bruce Springsteen, and Bruno Mars have concerts coming to Hershey, but they are not the only one…Hershey is full of surprises…
We rounded out the day with some great treats from CVS their Golden Emblem line was a great addition. We had a chance to try several of their beverages, snacks and cookies. The cookies from CVS came in several exciting and mouth watering flavors. There were also healthy snacks, like nuts, and popcorn for those of us who wanted to watch our waistlines.
This is the second event that @CVS has been part of and not only are they always there, I really appreciate their willingness to go out of their way to support this effort.
I love being able to try the items they offer, especially the ones that sounds good, but you know that you are not quite sure about. And as creative as they get, I have never walked away disappointed with their offerings.
The MomMixer also introduced us to some other favorites VisionWorks, and McDonalds where we got to taste some of the new coffee, and we were also given an opportunity to check out their egg white breakfast sandwich.
The Mom Mixer literally had something for everyone…stay tuned to hear more.
