I am excited and I mean really excited, because now it is race time.
It is the season for Half marathons, 10K, 5K and the list goes on. There are races galore until at least November so if a run is on your wishlist the news I share with you today is going to be really exciting.
It’s Training Time
If you’re interested in running, you have to train. There is no such thing as getting out there to run, at least not going from start to finish without preparing your mind and your body. You don’t want to go out there and get hurt and spend the rest of the season nursing an injury. So, that means you have to think about the whole process and what it is going to look like for you.
Creating an acceptable pace and not overdoing it is important and it I s the thing that makes reaching your goals possible. When you see people who race consistently you will see how intentional they are about everything. Every step is important, from what they do, to what they wear, to how often they train, to what kind of training they actually participate in and how often they run.
Good training is vital if you want to reach long-term goal, so know that and pay attention when you have access to solid information that you can trust.
