Raising a teen is lots of fun, but there are moments when all I can do is shake my head.
Today is one of those days.
My daughter walks into the room with two TOTALLY unmatching socks, and absolutely no shame and I, on the other hand am ready to cringe. I can only imagine how many people know about her little sock secret, and although she doesn’t care I can’t help but feel like I just made it onto the naughty side of the “Mom’s Naughty or Nice list”.
The joy of motherhood! When I ask her what happens she says I just haven’t had time to do my wash. REALLY! If only I would have known! UGH!
Although, it would be easy to go into full mom guilt, or totally blame her for not managing her time better the truth is our schedule has been a little off. Fall and winter are some of the busiest time of the year for us, and this year it is even worse than normal. This year, I have been traveling like crazy! I’ve been to several conferences, too many events to count, an out of state college visit, and it seems like almost every weekend has been full of activities from dawn to dusk. You may think that a good answer would be trying a wash and fold service, but even that has some major time challenges. I can just imagine arriving at the wash and fold the night before a big trip when I have to catch an early flight, only to find out that they just closed. No, thank you! So what is a busy mom and her family to do?
I love apps, and I especially love apps that fix problems we all have, like making sure your teenage daughter finds time to do their laundry. Guess what, there is an app for that!
Can you believe this…
The folks at Whirlpool® have created an easy-to-use app that helps turn your family into a team of wash and dry wizard all from the palm of your hand. The free Whirlpool® WashSquad App lets you:
– Assign laundry jobs to your family
– Track and reward their completed chores (This is one of my personal favorite features)
– Create custom laundry guides with wash and dry instructions tailored to your Whirlpool® washer and dryer
And the WashSquad features a Stain Eraser guide and Fabric Coach to help get you through even the toughest of loads without breaking a sweat. (This is great, not just for you, but it is a great tool for the laundry novice, or the team member who feels like they just don’t know what to do, no excuses here!
When I tried the app I was amazed, not only is it easy to use, but it helps me keep track of those chores. The app’s washboard lets you know when tasks are done, so no more worrying, and no more guessing.
Another great feature of the app is that it allows me to ask for help when I need it. It also helps me see if my daughter is behind or overwhelmed so we can work together to get her laundry done.
Last but not least, the point system allows you to celebrate those that are meeting their washing goals, and it lets you see your team players.
So as we run into the holiday’s and things get busier, I hope you find this tool valuable and helpful for your family. I know that I am looking forward to seeing matching socks on my daughter’s feet.
So if you are ready to get some laundry help, whether it is free tips for stain removal, or finding out if your teenaged child did their laundry, download the free application now by pressing here http://bit.ly/GPZeAg, and you’ll be well on your way to perfectly clean laundry, and hopefully some peace of mind!
