Stop Waiting Until Everything Is Perfect, Just Start!
Every once in a while something interesting happens that makes me think. At times, it’s an idea that I have been thinking about, or watching, and someone else has already started. Although it is great to think and perfect an idea, that doesn’t bring you any closer to producing. What would happen if you just decided to work with what you have and see where that takes you?
Many of us, myself included send too much time in the design phase. You think of how it should look when it is perfect and that is what you strive for, and that is how you determine when you should start. Perhaps a better viewpoint is this, start with what you have, and build.
Getting started can sometimes be the toughest part, because it is easy to overcomplicate things and easy to procrastinate, but that is also counterproductive! The blessing is deciding and then doing, which may mean moving forward without all of the answers. Being willing to fail long enough, to learn valuable lessons to move forward and grow. Innovators fail, take notes, evaluate and begin again after they have made some adjustments. Decide to do the same thing!
If we knew the backstory of all the people we now see as amazing achievers, or those who are great people of faith, and business, they all have several things in common. For instance, they decide to push forward with the ideas they have even when they are not sure if they will work. They remember that failure is never final, and neither is success. They fail over and over, and over again, and as long as they learn from it, they call it growth.
Remember the idea that you have in your head right now may of occurred to several people all at the same time. It is the person who decides to mobilize and start working on the idea that often reaps the reward for following through and moving ahead.
It’s time to take your idea off of the sketch board and put it to work. Decide to live the life you want right now by stop waiting, and wasting time you will never be able to get back. Take the leap, and don’t allow yourself to worry about what may never happen. If you keep waiting, you may close the door forever without taking a step. Be bold enough to try, and don’t give up until you have given it your best effort.
