We all like saving money, but most of us don’t have the time or want to spend the time and energy looking for coupons, or going through circulars.
These tricks I am sharing here are fast, and easy. They will work for just about anyone who can spare 5 minutes of time. So, let’s start racking up the savings.
Target is a place many of us shop at already. The question is do you know how to make the most out of your money when your doing your Target shopping?
I found some great time saving ways to save money at Target, and I am sharing them with you just in case you wanted to save some cash.
Introducing the shoppers secret weapon…..Cartwheel
Last year, around this time I found out about Target’s app called Cartwheel. It is a great way to tap into unpublicized savings and to help you stretch your dollars a little farther.
Using Cartwheel, the Target app, these Target tips, and a few other tools offer some great options for saving money that I didn’t know about before, or that I just didn’t use. Now that I realize how much money I was leaving on the table, I am going to make sure I use these tips every time I go to the store, and I am going to share them with you.
1. Know A Good Deal, When You See One.
This Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice is a great deal at $2.04. I have seen this sell for $2.99 all that way up to 3.99 in some other stores. This is one of my family favorite drinks. No High Fructose Corn Syrup and cranberry juice is just good for you. Target has this juice at $2.04 everyday so this is a great staple item to pick up at Target to save money on my grocery bill.
Pay attention, to the normal costs of your favorite items so when you see it somewhere at a lower price you can stack up.
2. Look at for those beautiful yellow “Temporary Price Cut” Tags.
This Newman’s Own Salad dressings is one of our favorite dressings, because of it’s ingredients it tends to run as much as $3.99 a bottle so a deal like this one, can save you as much as a dollar. All around #Target you can find these stickers, pay attention to them. These aren’t sale tags, they are tags that let you know this item is a special discounted rate for a period of time. This tactic alone can save you tons of money. Look for the yellow.
3. Take Advantage of All of Those Secret Deals…on Cartwheel
This deal above is great for two reasons, one because it is on sale this week in Target’s circular, and two because this is also listed in #Target’s Cartwheel app for 5% off.
So, when I buy this meat at #Target this week, I would save $0.68 just from the regular sale and then I would save an additional $0.19 just for using the #Cartwheel app.
Not bad, so it brings this deal down to $3.62.
Here are two screenshots from the actual Cartwheel app this week, that I used in the store.
The first pictures the ground beef above, and the second has some other great deals. The Cartwheel app does feature a lot of Target’s brands, but there are always a mix, this week they also had, a great deal on Jimmy Dean sausage for 10% off. Now, if you didn’t use the Target Cartwheel app this is money you just left on the table, and trust me the savings really do start to add up.
4. Use Those Coupons…The regular Manufacturer’s Coupons and Target’s Mobile Coupons
Here is a screen shot of this weeks Mobile Coupons on #Target’s app
If you don’t have time to search circulars and the Sunday ads for coupons I get it, me neither, brut there are other creative ways to find coupons that will work for you. Inside, the Target app, there is a great little section called Mobile coupons. They have deals in there that you can click on, add right to the app on your phone, they add the coupons to your personalized barcode and they scan it at the register GENIUS….
If you want to use coupons at Target, go ahead they accept them, and of course, there are ways to find coupons on line if you don’t want to do the searching and cutting yourself. There is also a way to take advantage of stacked deals if you use Target’s apps together, coupling Target’s regular app with Cartwheel is a great way to make your deals stretch.
5. The Savings Don’t Just Stop Here
There are other ways to stack savings at Target that I wanted to make sure I mention. Here is another great tool that you can use to save money on the things you love. #Ibotta is a app that you can use. They offer you rebates on specific items. You open the app, and Ibotta let’s you know what savings are available.
Ibotta’s rebates are action based, you can get $0.25 off if you take a poll, post to Facebook, watch a video, etc. It is a great way to get the brands you like at a savings. You receive your money back in the form of a rebate that you receive 48 hours later, it goes through Paypal and if you don’t mind the extra steps, it might be something you want to try. I like some of the brands that they highlight like #Annie’s, #Glade, #Ore-Ida, and #Kashi. These are brands that you may not be able to find at a discount elsewhere.
So, here are five great ways to save money at Target by using these free and convenient tools. Check them out for yourself and let me know how you make out.
