Did these subject lines make you cringe?
“Sony e-mails hacked and exposed, pictures of XYZ person are posted on the internet, data breach 9,300,457 at company XYZ just discovered”
Ugh… this could not be good.
Everyday now the internet and it’s security is in the news and for good reasons! People from all around the world are dealing with challenges and problems because things are not as secure as we wish they were. Although we didn’t know it before, everyday we get real life examples that this is an issue that we can no longer afford to ignore. So, that means you probably need to think about how and if your family are protected, and what you can do to make sure that you are.
As a parent of a teen, I am always concerned about my daughter and her activities online, so I want to make sure that she and her information is as safe as possible. She has no idea like so many other young people how many traps really exist.
I am always looking for and open to options and solutions that I can use to solve all kinds of problems, which is why I was really excited to find this new service that can help people like you and me.
Since Mid-February, I’ve been testing a new service, a VPN called Freedome.
- This is a great way to you to use those free Wifi hotspots, without worrying about your security.
- You can block harmful sites
- You can block tracking
- It also protects your data making it hard to access, think about having an extra layer of protection.
- You can change you location
The thing I love about this service is I can use it on my phone, on my iPad, and on my computer.
It also gives me a sense of freedom that my material is just a little safer than it was before. I don’t think I am scott-free by any stretch of imagination, but the extra layer of security is nice and makes me feel better. With all the tracking now, I like the ideal of being “virtually invisible” when I am on the web. Not because I am going anywhere that I don’t want people to know, but I don’t really want to have ads following me around for items that I might only be looking at for the sake of research, for myself or one of my clients.
