As I sit here this morning I could just cry, I was thinking about my year, my week, my day, WOW~  I am amazed at God and incredibly thankful.  The conference I attended was life changing, and I don’t say that lightly.  The meetings, and experiences since then have just been amazing, as welll!  Was everything perfect, absolutely not, but you know what, LIFE IS GOOD!

 

In hindsight, this last year has been pretty incredible.  It was filled with unexpected blessings and challenges!  I can honestly tell you, that there were days when I don’t know if it was worth it.  Days when I was angry, confused, or unclear, days when I waited for answeres that wither didn’t come, or didn’t come in the packaging I wanted, was expecting, or even liked.  There are times during this last year when I loved my life and wondered if many or sometimes even any of the things I did, even mattered.

Life thankfully, is not just one day, one hour, one minute or one year, it is a culmination, a mosaic, an entire picture. When we separate out one piece of it we miss the beauty of the whole. A picture with one color is not extraordinary and may not even stand out, actually it never does…. It’s average…..but, when you add in the other colors, and you add in different hues of the same color we run from beautiful to amazingly extraordinary.

The most beautiful pieces or art are a combination of several beautiful pieces brought together, and our lives I promise are the same way. There is pain, and joy, smiles and tears, confusion and clarity, and life and death. The picture is never perfect, but it is always beautiful.

Don’t judge your life live it, and live it fully, richly and graciously. Be willing to appreciate the intricacies and be willing to see past what is both in front of you and what is behind you. The musician always hears one note that was off key, and the artist knows where they miss a spot. We focus on what we are not, often forgetting what we are. Live life with all it’s complexities…..smile, and build, remembering that even what you see is not the sum total of your contribution, experience or joy…..

The beauty is continuing to build something every day to which history can look back and see a masterpiece, where you once saw an unfinished canvas.

Today I pray and speak to your unbelievable outcomes, your greatness, the ability you have to change the world and to change lives. I speak to the part of you that may wonder if it’s even necessary or important to do the very things in your heart, IT IS! A small life is not your legacy, but your choice, do yourself a favor and don’t live it!
