It’s Worth IT
Practice is part of greatness. For some people, it looks like failure after failure, and for others it is hours and hours of time on a track, on a field, or in a laboratory. You improve your skills and get better not because time has ticked away, but instead because you managed your time effectively by investing it in knowledge, and practice.
Talent is great, but at some point talent requires something greater. Practice is the intentional habit of setting aside time to get better, do more, and a commitment to improving despite how it looks on the surface. That means practicing even though you don’t see right away how things are improving. There are tons of people with talent. Talent is easy it doesn’t take anything. It doesn’t require anything you are born with it. Greatness requires that you do something that goes beyond what comes natural to you, so you can be more than you could even imagine.
Working hard to improve your talents, and helping you build on them is an amazing gift. It fills you with opportunities that you wouldn’t have otherwise, and opens up doors that are not closed easily
Today I challenge you, don’t let your talent go to waste. Don’t sit by and wait for all the right factors to come into play. This year you can do some incredible things if you are willing to develop your talents by practicing. Take the energy and time you spend doing things that are not profitable and turn it into something that will push you closer to your purpose.
I encourage you to walk into and pursue purpose. Look for ways to serve others and find the things that you can do to help someone else get further. The people you remember, those who you feel are notable are not those who are perfect, but those who put on their coat of greatness and then refused to take it off no matter what. Choose GREATNESS!
