In my opinion clothes should look good and they should also feel good.

I want styles that I can mix and match. I also want clothing that I enjoy wearing.
I’ve always loved quality and I know it when I see it. I can touch a piece of clothing and know right away if it’s going to last and how well it’s made. Clothes that look good are nice, but I want to be comfortable. My clothes reflect me and my style, and that means a lot to me.
Classic or Trendy
Finding clothes that you love means having a good mix of classic and trendy clothing. I can’t have a whole closet of clothes that look dated after one season. So, I believe you have to mix it up. I tend to buy a few trendy shirts and pants and I keep everything else classic.
The Right Colors
Adding the right colors to your wardrobe is a great way to spruce things up. You want colors that look good on you and you also want to add some of the popular colors of the season. Cranberry or eggplant is versatile so this button down shirt and purple seaters were easy picks.
Quality Matters

If I buy something and it fades, doesn’t feel good on, or if it looks terrible when it comes out of the washing machine or the dryer it’s not for me. I need clothes that I can wash and wear over and over again, that means material really matters. (That is also another reason why I really love that prAna uses organic cotton).
Looking Good Is Important But…
It’s only part of the equation. I want clothing that looks and feel good. The price point needs to be good and the clothing I buy NEEDS to last.
Now It’s Time To Talk prAna
The first time I heard of prAna I had no idea what kind of clothing they made. I thought they only made fitness clothing. When I went to the Wow Conference in October, I found out they had quite a wide selection. I was intrigued and impressed.
I went on the site and took a close look at all they had to offer. I tried the Kara pants and the Salina Shirt.
The sweater I got was a pretty eggplant color. The fact that it was made with far trade cotton made it even more attractive. The clothes felt great and I was amazed at how the material felt on my skin.
I also appreciated the attention to detail that seemed to be present in all the clothing that I got. The prAna button on the back of the sweater, the buttons on the shirt, The detail on the buttons. These were all things that really made my selections stand out.
The Story Behind The Story
I’ve been thinking a lot about the products I use. Everything from the clothes I put on my back to the products I put on my skin. Being fashionable is great, but I love clothing that has a story. prAna’s story resonated with me, I don’t mind investing my hard earned dollars in products that empower and support others.
These prAna items weren’t just a hit with me, my daughter liked them enough to “borrow” them, thankfully she doesn’t wear the same size as me. We got this cool headband from the SWAG bag from the Shiftcon conference.
As I go into the new year I made a commitment to pay even closer attention to my clothing, where it comes from and who makes it. Just another factor that will go into my buying decision. I liked prAna and their clothes not just because of how they looked, but I also love the values they represent.
I really loved the clothing I got from prAna and I encourage you to checkout the clothing on their site. If you use this code BLOGF16ADNG you can save and additional 15% on your purchase. I would also encourage you to take a look at the video which describes why prAna is such a unique brand.
