Let’s Face It…Time Is Money
With all your responsibilities, YOU Don’t Have Time To Waste.
Anything that takes longer than it needs to, is stealing precious time I don’t have. Maybe you feel the same way.
Finding and sharing #lifehacks is one of my favorite activities.
There is no better way to redeem lost time, than to share what I learned with others. You maybe wondering what does any of this have to do with internet speed? Let me tell you…Everything takes longer to do when your internet connection is SLOW…
Doing computer work, watching videos, posting and sharing content, saving or sharing information, or pictures….most of those task are internet based.
When tasks that should take 5 minutes, are taking more than an hour, they can cut your productivity in half.
I got used to it, I was disgusted with slow internet upload and download speeds. It feels like being on Free Wi-Fi at a coffee house when you are working on a deadline you have to meet.
Want To Know What Is Even Worse..
I had no idea I even had a problem, I thought slow internet speeds was something I had to live with, I didn’t understand that I had choices that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. So, I didn’t even look for options.
Don’t know what I mean, do any of these scenarios sound familiar?
- Do you spend tons of time uploading videos to YouTube?
- Do you hate seeing that spinning circle graphic watching videos online?
- Does it take you forever to add pictures to your blog?
- What about backing up your data?
- What about this? It used to take me forever to download big files other people were sending me, which made my freelance projects a big challenge.
Not to mention, the download and upload speeds were even worse during peak hours.
I thought what I was experiencing was normal, but what if it isn’t?
As a family that relies heavily on data both at home and away, so speed REALLY matters in my house. With three computer savvy people using the internet at once, someone was always slowing down the network or negatively impacting the speed.
The solution that worked for us…
My husband decided to give FIOS a try, he was fed up and so was I.
Here is what happened
Installation was fast and before we knew it, the TRUTH came out. The upgrade internet speed worked wonders for us and I found out something I never knew before.
Upload and download speeds matter.
Our previous service gave us download speeds, which were ok, but gave us crappy upload speeds that were SUPER slow. Now all of the sudden everything made sense.
What I thought was the norm, quickly became a distant memory.
The time it took to upload videos, pictures, watch movies, stream videos was virtually cut in half.
We saw all of these benefits when we made the switch.
Videos that took hours to download, were downloaded in 10 or 15 minutes max, even when they were 1080 HD.
It didn’t matter how many devices were connected to the network, iPhone’s, iPad’s, computers, all at the same time and nothing was any slower no matter what everyone else was doing.
Contract work was a breeze to complete, even when huge amounts of data were required because the speed was lightening fast. We tested the speed and just like it was promised, things didn’t just start fast, it stayed that way.
I can’t believe how much money and time I wasted and I am thankful to finally have services I can count on thanks to Fios. If you are having similar issues or you are willing to look at some options check out what they have to offer.
