When I look at this shirt I smile. It is not just because it is cute, instead I smile because what you are looking at is dream that eventually came to pass. You are looking at the faithfulness of God.
I don’t know about you but God has told me several things, now that I am a more mature in Christ, I have come to understand that just because He has told me something doesn’t mean I see it right away. This shirt is a dream. I still remember when I got the idea and I wrote down the sketch on a post it not I have in my office. It’s been 13 years since God gave me that idea. He dropped it right into my spirit. I was so excited, and off I went. I thought for sure that all the pieces would come together right away. I got the idea on Monday, and by Friday I would be in production! God gave it to me, so it’s supposed to happen right now, imagine my surprise when I ran into roadblock after roadblock. I remember thinking how could something from God be this much trouble to bring into fruition. I put it down and didn’t pick it up for 10 more years.
When I look at this shirt I am reminded not just of the scripture and all that faith means, but I am reminded of the faithfulness of God. I couldn’t believe it came to pass after all this time. I forgot about it, tabled it and pretty much figured uh oh well. There are tons of designs waiting to be released, so far we have only produced two, Faith and Grace but there are plenty more. In the future, there will be all kinds of products and I just can’t wait until you see them.
I can still remember when the woman at the store asked me what the scripture said, and I told her and she said I have to look that up. SMILE! Mission accomplished! The shirts and I have much more to do, many more grocery store interactions with strangers, and I have the promise of a faithful God, and I carry it with me day and night in this part of my journey. building anything is a process, we start from the beginning and everyday we work on it, we get one step closer to making it happen.
Every once in a while, I draw on my experiences with God and remember what God has done. I remember an idea, and then a post it note, that eventually became a shirt. Other people see the shirts, and they love them, they don’t really know the story, they just see a shirt. I on the other hand smile and remember how great the awesome and Mighty God I know is, and I work on my next God dream, and wait for His incredible timing to make them come to pass..
I pray you remember this story and I hope you remember the goodness of God, and thank Him for who He is, and all that He has already done!
