This year, the television season has brought lots of great options to choose from and I have to say I am really excited. I don’t watch tons of television, but every once in a while I do indulge. What I love about these shows is I’ve heard so many people say they love them. If you don’t have free time add these these shows to your DVR que, they really are well worth your time and DVR space.
Pitch
I love this show especially for women and girls. It’s about Ginny, the first woman to ever be signed to a professional baseball team. It features a cast of actors and actresses that you know and love. The story line uncovers Ginny’s very interesting past. She is smart, strong and determined and the show deals with some very interesting topics from a unique perspective. It’s on Fox and it comes on every Thursday at 9PM EST.
Queen Sugar
This show blows my socks off every week. It is a story about a family right outside of New Orleans who inherited a farm after their father passed away suddenly. Charged with a huge legacy and responsibility is just the beginning. They deal with complex family issues, mixed with social issues. The acting and directing is amazing. Every member of the family has their own challenges, which make for a show where you just don’t want to miss a second. A rich story with lots of drama and suspense. This show comes on the OWN TV network on Wednesday night at 10PM EST.
This Is Us
I heard all of the buzz and I have to admit it I got pulled in. This hour long show pulls you into the life of 3 characters whose lives are come together in an interesting way. The show has very interesting tosses and turns and that is just the beginning. Flashbacks from their childhoods, make this a show you just can’t afford to miss. The cast is diverse and the stories are rich. This show comes on NBC on Tuesday at 9PM EST.
Insecure
This one is for the millennials, but it’s unique flavor makes it a must see.. Issa and Molly, two friends with very different experiences tell there story about life as modern women. There experiences with everything from dating, to work, to there day to day is amusing and well, you have to watch it. The two are funny and really have some interesting exchanges. It’s a comedy, but I will warn you it is not for the faint at heart. Insecure comes on HBO at 10:30PM EST on Sunday night.
These are just a few of the new shows that I think you might enjoy. They are a breathe of fresh air.
Everyone I know is busy so catching shows live is rare, but there are great shows to catch when time permits. I love to fill my DVR with great shows so when I do have time I can indulge. These are just a few shows worth checking out, I think you will enjoy investing time exploring them.
With 200 hours on my DVR, I can often check out great shows on the go or when time permits. Having that much space on our DVR means that I can record shows that look interesting even if I can’t watch them for months. The Verizon Fios service also goes something great. Once you find a show you like, Verizon Fios service makes similar suggestions, which makes it even to find new shows.
If you are looking for a service that will meet your internet and entertainment needs while offering you plenty of options check out Verizon Fios service and see what they have for you.

Aida, Although I have not be able to watch much tv, I do find time to watch This Is Us! It is rich with dialogue and a great story line. I simply love the show. The writing is very reminiscent of the tv shows back in the 80’s before the writers strike and the impetus of all this reality tv stuff. 😉
