Blended is the new comedy with Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore and Terry Crews that is due to be released on May 23rd. And the big question is.. should you go and see it?
This comedy is about two single parents, Jim (Adam Sandler) the father of three girls and Lauren (Drew Barrymore) the divorced mother of two boys. The two meet each other on a blind date at Hooters that goes terribly wrong, and the adventure starts there.
By some crazy twist of fate the two and their families end up vacationing at the same African safari. This excursion is both hilarious and entertaining.

Lauren and Jim are two single parents who have their hands full raising their children. Lauren is a part owner of Closet Queens and Jim is the manager of a Dick’s store look out for the cameo appearance by Shaquille O’Neal.
The kids in the movie are tons of fun adding to the appeal of this flick. As the story unfolds, we find two people trying to do the best they can with their kids. Both families are putting their lives back together after they have been faced with some of life’s unexpected events.
The film is full of laughs for people of all ages. During the screening people were laughing from the time the movie started until the time the movie ended, and we were no different.

I honestly wasn’t sure if I would like this film, as so many comedies these days leak the best part of the movie in the previews and it only goes down hill from there. Thankfully this is not one of those movies.
Jim, and Lauren are a refreshing change of pace. The comedy has something for everyone and the storyline doesn’t disappoint.

I also can’t leave out Terry Crews who played the part of the lead singer in the African group who sang throughout the movie. His antics were a big part of the comic relief. His high-water pants and creative lyrics always seemed to show up at the right time, adding fuel to the fire of this comedic team.

I won’t give any spoilers here, but I really enjoyed this movie. This a rare comedy that you can bring the whole family to see where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves.
I would give the movie a B++ (by the way my 16 year old daughter gave it a A).
