Every once in a while a movie comes along that you can actually learn a lesson from and Champion is one of those movies.
What Kind Of Lesson Can You Learn From Your Life?
Life is a lesson and we all have plenty to learn. In this movie, a father, Jack Reed, his son, Ray Reed and a rival race car driver, Sean Weathers and his daughter Gracie learn a valuable lesson about choices.
The Father….
Jack Reed (Gary Graham), is a busy businesses man whose son reaches out to him in hopes of putting together their father son relationship. Ready to make time for his son after being estranged, he is willing to see what this new relationship with his son will look like. He’s goes to his race and he sees how far his son has come, but over time what has he missed?
The Racer
Imagine being at the top of your game and then having something happen that changes everything. Racer Sean Weathers (Andrew Cheney) is number one on the racing scene. He is a single dad who is raising a beautiful young daughter, Gracie. He takes risks and he wants to win, but is winning a problem?
The Son
Ray Reed (Isaiah Stratton), is a strong competitor in the racing world. His team loves him and he is doing well, he has sponsors and people are taking notice. He is working hard to become number one, but his focus isn’t just on winning. Repairing the riff between him and his dad is really important to him. Will the wound of the past keep them apart or bring them back together?
The Daughter
Gracie Weathers (Faith Renee Kennedy), is a young girl and she is the daughter of racer Sean Weathers. She is her dad’s biggest fan. Her mother left them both so the two of them are a great team. She has a chance meeting with Jack Reed, and tries to show him the ropes of the racing since he is new, but what can she teach us about life lessons
On the race track, we find out what happens when life doesn’t take the turn you expect and how you can comeback after a mistake.

Lessons For Us All…
Champion deals with important issues like split second decisions, long term choices, forgiveness and reconciliation. It places all of those topics in a big radiant picture frame for all of us to see. Each and every one of us falls short, daily. What happens when you realize that you’ve made a mistake. How will you handle it and most importantly how will you fix it. Champion makes you think about what is important and how clean up your own messes. It’s a marvelous movie with valuable lessons and it makes for excellent entertainment.
