These subscription Boxes are all over the place and there is a subscription box for just about anyone for just about anything.
They have boxes for pets, for food, for clothing, and of course for makeup and fashion.
A few months ago I got curious and wanted to try them out for myself so I could share them with all of you.

I tried out seven of them, and I am going to continue to review at least three of the subscriptions monthly.

So here goes…
This is the Beauty Bar Sample Society, I got three of these. This is a mixture of full sized items and samples. They also offer you samples as well. It comes with a pamphlet that highlights those makeup trends you don’t want to miss. Over the past three months, there have also been a few with perfume as well. It comes your way for about $26 with tax and shipping.

Here are just a few of the more recent boxes for you to take a look at. They have quite a selection of shades and their are facial care products.  I loved that candle and that was soy, which is great!

The LipDrink is a product I really loved and it so small is really travels well.

 

What I liked about it….
I thought it was a great way to be exposed to products that I might not ordinarily try. There are some products that I absolutely love and some that I just thought were ok. Then of course, it is a great way for me to stay connected and informed about trends and to of course, have those trendy items at my finger tips. You can also trade with others, which is nice.

What I didn’t like..Surprise is obviously the goal here, but it is not always a pleasant surprise. With so many different people you are likely to find items you would never wear because they are just not your favorite, or because you may have a few brands that you really love and you want to keep using those. Realistically, I think they may have to adjust the model because most people don’t want to put new things on their faces every month. I would love to have a little more control over what comes in my box.

Julep is another box..
They do mostly nail polish and boy, do they have some great colors. This box is especially great because they let you decide what kind of box you want, and also they let you decide from three different options, you can also elect not to get a box. Another great feature is this..you get points with every shipment so you can earn your boxes, another option I think is great.

One more bragging point, you pay $19.99 with shipping and handling, and your box ships out normally on the 27th of the month, you have a selection period and then it shows up at your door. They also have secret shops and they allow you to add to your order items that you would like at a discounted rate, usually around 40%-50% off.

I think this box is really cool. Last, but not least we all hate CANCER, and this polish doesn’t have any of the carcinogens that are so dangerous to your health so no Formaldehyde, no Touluene, and no DBP’s…
