I Can’t Go Back, and you can’t either!
This past week I had a blast at MegaFest in Dallas with TD Jakes, Oprah, Pastor Cheryl Brady, Pastor Dr. Jasmin Schlark, Nicole Ari Parker, Steve Perry, and the list goes on I honestly have so much to share I can’t wait to go through it, and reread it!
Have you ever had an experience that is life changing, life renewing, and that made you rethink everything in your life all at once…well that for me really has been the case for me this last year! Every place I have gone there has been a push, a cry, and I have left with just another piece of the puzzle. I am excelling, growing, and reaching and I want you to do the same so let me share something with you that I know is going to help you and something that is going to make your life better….
STOP-LOOK and Listen!
Yes, I know you have heard it before, and you may even have the fire chief or someone like him on your mind as you think of it, but that is not it! So let me explain!
STOP! Stop playing small, living underneath your skills, talents, and abilities. Stop telling yourself that you will do it when you have time, stop believing that you don’t have what it takes. Most of all, STOP believing all of the lies that have been stealing your opportunities, and options. Stop letting all of that junk get you distracted. Stop letting it stop you from walking in the divine purpose, and the destiny you were created to walk in, to change lives, starting with your very own.
LOOK! Look at where you are and look at where you have come from, you may not be where you are but, surely you are amazing, surely your are great, and surely you are an over comer! I want you to DECIDE to take a look around you, celebrate what you can celebrate. You can’t look back because we can’t really see in reverse, that is called a memory for a reason. Looking is about the present and the future, so look out and see all the beauty that is in front of you. Plan for the future, for what is coming is clearly better than what has already come and gone.
Listen! What have YOU been allowing to come out of your mouth, is it building your dreams or tearing them down? It is time to start listening to the voices in us we have shutdown and made quiet. What do you want for yourself? Where are you going and where do you want to be? Take a little time to find out what you really want, and don’t be afraid of what will happen if what you are doing or saying doesn’t sound the same as what other people are saying or doing. You may be the standout person in your circle, take on the position and rise, but first you need to genuinely listen., and then really hear the message. Your life is talking my friend, the question is are you listening….
Today I am asking and challenging you to make a date with destiny.
Take the ten day challenge, and start there. There really is no need to play small, undermine yourself, or keep making excuses about why you can’t be who and what you already are! There is no better day to start than today! Write down 5 things you need to do right now and get started on one of them and then go to the Facebook page and tell me what you did…I am rooting for you and I know you are going to close out this year with purpose!

This is very inspirational and motivational. We were actually in Chicago this past July and I remember telling my husband how exciting it was to see the sign for HARPO studios. Oprah has done so many great things for so many people.

You are right. There’s never a good reason to wait to make a positive change. We like to wait until the start of the week, month, or year to conquer a new challenge. Why wait? The sooner you make positive change, the sooner you reach your goals or improve your life!

This post couldn’t have come at a better time. I really really need to believe that I have what it takes and not just say it but truly believe it and feel it. I feel myself struggling a lot and sometimes I feel hopeless but when I read stuff like this it reminds me of what I’m meant to do and be. I will definitely check out the Ten Day Challenge as I need all the help I can get. Thanks again for this post! I love the positivity in it!
Pam says
Making positive changes does not always have to be big steps. They can be multiple small steps that will eventually lead you to something bigger. It is also important to remember that it is also ok to be content and happy where you are at when you need to be.
