I am a real football fan so I look forward to watching my Steelers play and preferably win games.  We are about due for ring number seven, so with Super Bowl 51 taking place in less than 80 days we have some REAL work to do.

Over the next couple of weeks, teams will literally be fighting for playoff spots.  Every team wants to get to the big dance in Houston, Texas in 12 weeks so each game is crucial.

 If you are a fan, like me watching your team and watching your division is muy important.  I love watching my team play live, but that is not always an option. That’s why I love having the NFL RedZone in our Fios package.

I’m fortunate because the Steelers are one of the media darlings so I get to see a fair amount of our games on Fox, NBC or the NFL Channel, but when I can’t catch our games live, I really rely on the highlight reels or NFL Red Zone to give me the inside track. Thankfully, it’s part of our Verizon Fios package.

If you are a big football fan you know that watching what happens to your team and what happens in your division is REALLY important.  You want to see how your guys are doing and you also want to see how the competition is holding up.  Seeing who is hurt, who is filling in and how the teams are playing gives you a picture of what you can expect as the season starts to dwindle down.

I stumbled upon NFL RedZone last year and fell in love.  Watching NFL Red Zone gives you a real glimpse of what is happening around the league.  I can see how the other teams defensive and offensive lines are holding up, I get a chance to see their plays in action and of course I can see their vulnerabilities.  Interceptions and crazy catches, those RedZone snap shots get way beyond the highlight reel, they take us to each game as it is happening.  Each Sunday RedZone gives us 7 hours of commercial free football, I can watch my team play live and turn to RedZone during the commercials.  We catch the leagues games all day long.

Right now, we are at week 11 and there are only 7 more weeks left in the regular football season. I am rooting for my Steelers to pull it out, and I am CERTAIN they will.  In this game injuries, backup players and major comebacks are the stories that make these next few weeks full of excitement and surprises.

I am looking forward to watching the games and cheering for my team all the way to the Super Bowl and I am going to enjoy watching our competition fall by our waist side.  Super Bowl 51 is scheduled for February 5th 2017 and I expect my team to be there.  I will be watching and cheering them on every step of the way and with normal coverage & NFL RedZone, I am looking forward to watching every minute of their journey.
