I was given this beautiful book to review called The Sparkle Box.
The book was a beautiful bright red with a little box on the cover, it sounds nice enough right!
I never could of guessed that a book so short, and sweet would hold such an amazing message. As I opened the book, I thought to myself what in the world could a Sparkle Box teach me and my family this holiday season. Well, I just have to say the message was so simple, yet so profound even I was surprised. Well, I won’t ruin the surprise for you, but I will say I hope that their isn’t a family around who doesn’t decide to add it to their Christmas classic book list.
Sam and his mom in a few short pages challenge us to think of others this holiday season, and encourage you to start a movement this year.
I had heard a few people talk about how good the book was, but even I was surprised when I saw what was inside the box and how in the society we live in today, we all may want to consider adding our very own Sparkle Box under this year’s Christmas tree.
It is amazing how easy it is to lose sight of the real reason to celebrate the season, and how you can remember others everyday of our lives, but especially during this holiday season.

About The Sparkle Box – A Gift with the Power to Change Christmas
Sam is so excited about Christmas! He’s thinking about his Christmas list, looking forward to holiday parties, and puzzling over one very mysterious gift: a sparkly box sitting on the mantel. In the midst of the festivities, Sam and his family participate in various acts of kindness to others. On Christmas morning, when Sam finally opens the Sparkle Box, he finds only slips of paper that record the family’s good deeds. Sam’s mom explains that the things that they’ve been doing are, in fact, a gift for Jesus, for Jesus said that whatever we do for those in need, we do for Him.
