David Venable and QVC hosted a great party last week, and I just wanted to share.
I love to cook, but sometimes it is nice to enjoy great company, good conversation, and tons of excitement, and that is what I found at QVC last Wednesday.
QVC’s In the Kitchen with David V hosted some special friends, and boy, we got quite a treat. We were intimately introduced to a number of David’s great cookbook dishes Bacon Mac and Cheese, Apple Cinnamon Snicker doodles, Warm Salad with Pork Crackling Pomegranate Dressing, Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, and some of the QVC holiday snacks like Junios Cheesecakes. We had a chance to tour the QVC studios, sit in on David’s show and watch the David’s Cooking Court.
The kitchen was full of some extra special guest who added a little more flavor to the evening. Emeril showed up with his smiling face and bubbly personality, Star Jones, one of the competing chefs showed up for the cookoff against Haylie Duffie, and Sunny Anderson even came by to add some extra special flair as one of the judges.
Star Jones made her Lobster Mac N’ Cheese
It was great to see some of the holiday items, and those must have kitchen items that David often features in the show, He always features great must have items to get you in and out of the kitchen quickly while you prepare meals you love to eat. Of course, the food was fabulous, and I m still having dreams about the table full of lobster I passed when we toured the studio.
It was great to meet David (he really is a sweetie) and the other guests. Hearing about all that behind the scenes work that goes into making the show so much fun to watch. The QVC studio is absolutely amazing, and the sets were so inviting with decorated Christmas trees, comfy couches, and the food was everywhere, I think I gained 5 pounds just from looking at it. I could have stayed there forever with David and that excellent food, but at least I have this cup, a cool bag, and my cookbook anytime I want to recapture the moment. I love QVC, and I really appreciate all the love, care, and the work they put into making each show so special. When you watch shows on TV, you have no idea how much work they put into making each and every show a success. We saw how they laid out everything from the food items to the pocketbooks for each segment. I could only imagine how hard they work just to put one of these shows together.
I am looking forward to seeing David next Wednesday, and making some of those delicious recipes in his cookbook over the holiday season.
This dish set was too cute!
