This year, I am committed to saying goodbye to some of my extra weight so what I snack on REALLY matters.
I am going to admit that I have a BIG problem, I am a SNACKER and not the GOOD kind. Sugar and salt are my big temptations, and of course most convenience snacks have lots of both of them. I need to keep temptation as far away from me as possible, especially since I know that I have a bad habit of snacking at night . So, I have to make sure that my house is stocked with snacks that are healthy, low in calories and not full of the sugar and salt I don’t need.
If you catch me at the wrong time and at the wrong place, surrounded by the wrong food, I am in BIG Trouble. Candy, potato chips, corn chips, bread, all spell DANGER for me in capital letters, so I have to stay as far away from them as possible.
To help me stay on the safe and narrow, I am looking for the best snack foods.
Surprisingly, when I started looking I found out that good healthy snacks are harder to find than I thought.
Finding snacks that don’t kill your health and fitness goals is not always easy. If you don’t look at those labels or understand what you are reading you can find yourself BAMBOOZLED and quick.
Hidden sugars, empty calories, high sodium, questionable ingredient, you may have noticed this too.
So when I find snacks that don’t blow my calorie count sky high, and that are reasonably good for me I am ecstatic. If those snacks taste good, I am SUPER excited.
I found these goodies at Natural Health Products East conference in September and I thought I found one of my new best friends.
